Windows - Connecting to the internet with Parallels 4.0

Thursday Nov 20, 2008
I’m running windows XP on my iMac via parallels 4.0, but I’m unable to connect to my houses wireless internet. What is the process to get the windows portion online?

This might just be a basic windows question (since I’m completely unfamiliar with windows) but I could use some help either way.

The computer is an Intel Core 2 Duo iMac running OSX 10.5.5

My internet is not from airport, but from a Freebox. It’s a french company, but I think it’s the same as Linksys? in the states. It’s just a wi fi transmitter.

Thanks!

imac to mac mini network for newbie

Thursday Nov 20, 2008
Hi, I’m have a 24″ imac connected to the internet using a wired connection. This is the family mac with all our pics, vids, music on etc. I am thinking of buying an older mac mini to put in my livingroom to use a kind of entertainment centre. My question is…Will i be able to access my imac in the next room through the mac mini and view my photos, vids and listen to music through it using the hardware already installed in the imac and mac mini? Hopefully i can. I kind of think i should be able to but if someone knows that you definitely can I will go ahead. Thanks. Craig
